William
F. Malloy, Jr. brings extensive experience in government
affairs to The Malloy Group, with more than 30 years in the
government and private sectors. He has served a wide
range of clients specializing in diverse and regulated
industries ranging from health care and insurance to
banking, among others.
Over the years, he
has expanded the firm into a full-service government
affairs and business development firm; providing
consulting and strategic planning, in addition to
developing an extensive network in both the legislative
and executive branches of government.
Prior to joining the firm, Bill
graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy and spent eight years on active
duty, and retired at the rank of Captain in the U.S. Navy
Reserve in 2010. He
holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from
Harvard University.
Selected by Congressman Gerry Studds in
1993, he served for three years on his Academy Selection
Committee, interviewing and recommending potential
candidates to the Congressman and the military academies
for admission. Bill is Immediate Past President and one of the
Trustees of the U. S. Naval Academy Alumni Association of
Boston. Bill served on the Board of Advisors to Shackleton
Schools for 10 years and the Board of Directors for the New
England-Canada Business Council for 7 years.
In 2001, he began
serving as an Adjunct Professor at the US Merchant Marine
Academy teaching Leadership and Ethics to Navy Reserve
Officers and Commissioned Officers of the National Oceanic
and Atmospheric Administration. In addition, he has taught courses in Mine Warfare and
Anti-Terrorism Force Protection.
At home in Norwell,
MA, Bill served as the Vice President of the Norwell Men's Club, a
non-profit organization dedicated to providing scholarships to local
high school students and other community services such as serving on the
Dinner Committees for the New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans and Shackleton
Schools. He is a member of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery
Company, which is the third oldest chartered military organization in
the world and the oldest in the Western Hemisphere. He has had
several articles published in a variety of military magazines and
periodicals. |
